Alan Muraoka and Sesame Street Friends at the 2023 Easter Egg Roll

In this photograph by Matthew D'Agostino, actor Alan Muraoka from Sesame Street joins guests gathered in the reading nook. The reading nook, temporarily located in the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden, was a part of the White House Easter Egg Roll on April 10, 2023. The theme for the 2023 Easter Egg Roll, which was hosted by President Joseph R. Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, was a return of "EGGucation," which Dr. Biden also selected in 2022. Activities at the annual celebration included the traditional Easter egg roll and egg hunt, special guest readers in the reading nook, costumed characters, food, and arts and crafts, among other educational activities. Muraoka read the Sesame Street-based book, "The Great Easter Race" to the group of children gathered as well as characters Elmo and Rosita (not pictured) from the show.
